These terms cover your use of the Good Karma Magic website and the process of selling a card collection to us.
1. The site
The site describes our buying service and lets you request an appraisal. Site content — including the Insights blog, price commentary, and the verified-sellers list — is general information, not financial or investment advice. Card prices change daily; we make no promise that any card will hold or reach any price discussed.
2. Appraisals
An appraisal request through the site isn't a contract. After you describe your collection we provide a written, line-by-line offer based on current market prices and the condition of the cards as we determine them. You are free to decline any offer — there is no obligation to sell, and we return declined collections at our cost when we've shipped them to us for evaluation.
3. Sales
A sale completes when you accept our offer in writing and we receive the described cards. You confirm that the cards you send are yours to sell and are not stolen or counterfeit. Payment is sent within 48 hours of your acceptance, by the method you choose. If the received collection materially differs from what was described, we'll contact you with a revised offer before proceeding — you can accept it or have the cards returned.
4. Charity contribution
A share of each purchase is donated to our charity partner, the Computer Technologies Program in Berkeley, CA. The donation comes from our proceeds and never reduces the amount offered or paid to you.
5. Third-party content and links
The Insights blog summarizes and links to videos, articles, sellers, and marketplaces operated by other people. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content or transactions. The verified-sellers list shares our experience at the date shown; entries are rechecked periodically but can change — verify any seller yourself before spending money.
6. Intellectual property
Good Karma Magic is an independent buyer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast LLC. Magic: The Gathering and related marks are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast. Summaries of third-party videos and articles appear under fair-use commentary; original work belongs to its creators.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability related to a sale is limited to the purchase price of the cards in that sale. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes will be handled in the courts of Alameda County, California.
9. Contact and changes
