Good Karma Magic ("we", "us") buys Magic: The Gathering collections. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site or ask for an appraisal, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to appraise your cards and pay you, and we don't sell your information to anyone.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address, and any other way you choose to reach us, used to respond to your inquiry and complete a sale.
- Collection information — descriptions and photos of the cards you want to sell, used only to prepare your appraisal.
- Transaction details — shipping address and payment details when a sale is agreed, used to send you packaging, receive your cards, and pay you.
- Site analytics — ordinary visit and activity data (pages viewed, time on site, links clicked, approximate region, device and browser type), collected by Google Analytics and/or our own visitor-tracking system. This is standard website statistics only — we use it to understand how the site is used, not to build advertising profiles of you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with marketers.
- We don't run advertising trackers or ad networks on this site. The analytics we do collect is described above and below.
- We don't publish your collection, photos, or correspondence. If we ever want to use an appraisal as a public example, we'll ask first and anonymize it.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics and/or our own visitor-tracking system to record ordinary website activity: which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, how they arrived, and what they click. We use it to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Google processes its share under Google's privacy policy; you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Our own tracking system keeps activity statistics on our infrastructure and is used for the same purpose only — site usage, never advertising.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to operate: email delivery for the contact form, the analytics services above, and a payment service (such as PayPal or a bank transfer) when you choose how to be paid. Those providers handle your data under their own privacy policies and only to the extent needed to complete the service.
Retention
We keep appraisal correspondence while a sale is being discussed or completed. If a sale doesn't go ahead, you can ask us to delete your details at any time. Completed records needed for tax and accounting purposes are kept as required by law.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact us through the contact page.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for basic operation and for the analytics described above (for example, telling a first visit from a return visit). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time; the site still works with analytics cookies blocked.
