Where the good karma goes

Good Karma Magic buys cards — and shares our side of every sale with a Berkeley nonprofit.

The Computer Technologies Program

CTP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Berkeley, CA that has provided career training and job placement for people with disabilities for over 45 years. Their graduates work throughout the Bay Area tech community.

When you sell us your collection, a share of our proceeds from the purchase goes to CTP. It's written into how the business runs — not a seasonal promotion, and never deducted from your payout.

You get paid in full. CTP gets its share. Your old cards do both.

How the share works

Every purchase includes a fixed share of our proceeds for CTP. The appraisal you approve is the amount you receive — the donation comes from our margin, on every deal, cash or otherwise.

Can I donate my cards instead of taking cash?

If you'd rather donate your collection outright, yes — you'll receive documentation from our charity partner for a tax-deductible contribution. But it's entirely your choice: most sellers take the cash, and the charity still benefits from the sale either way.

Do you publish donation totals?

Yes — the running total is on the homepage and this page, updated monthly. It's one of the reasons we keep a paper trail on every donation.
